अवध्योऽयं ममाप्येष वैरोचनिसुतोऽसुर: ।
प्रह्रादाय वरो दत्तो न वध्यो मे तवान्वय: ॥ ४७ ॥

शब्दार्थ

avadhyaḥ — not to be killed; ayam — he; mama — by Me; - — indeed; eṣaḥ — this; vairocani-sutaḥ — son of Vairocani (Bali); asuraḥ — demon; prahrādāya — to Prahlāda; varaḥ — the benediction; dattaḥ — given; na vadhyaḥ — not to be killed; me — by Me; tava — your; anvayaḥ — descendants.

भाषांतर

I will not kill this demonic son of Vairocani, for I gave Prahlāda Mahārāja the benediction that I would not kill any of his descendants.
